Sunday Morning Waffles

Sunday morning breakfast. Banana walnut waffles. I like to make our own mix this way I know exactly what's going in it. Any premade mix would work for this as well. You can add any add ins you want to this. My son usually adds some Cocoa powder and peanut butter. You'll just need to adjust your liquids if you add more dry ingredients.

Ingredients for waffle mix
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
2/3 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional:
1 sliced banana
1/4 cup walnuts

Preheat waffle griddle.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, add banana and walnuts and whisk until combined.
Pour prepared batter into preheated waffle maker.
Serve hot!

Our waffle maker uses about 1/4 scoop of batter per square. I also do not spray or pre grease ours, use your best judgement if you need it. I would say ours take about 3-4 minutes but every waffle maker is different.

                  Walnuts and bananas up first!
                  Mixed banana walnut batter.
              Batter in preheated waffle maker.
          My finished banana walnut waffle.
            My son's chocolate peanut butter.
