Pumpkin Patch + Mom's Meet

Happy Saturday! How was your week? A lot of virtual learning happened here! Also lots of Halloween decorating! 
Race and I went to the pumpkin patch Wednesday! It was the perfect fall day for it! Harlow was tired and we aren't wanting to take any chances of her getting sick, so dad stayed home and had some daddy daughter time! 
Race and I had lots of fun picking out the perfect pumpkins! We probably picked too many! But we were having so much fun we couldn't help ourselves! 
I also wanted to share about a website I've been using, Mom's Meet. It's a very simple website to use. You can apply to be a mom ambassador or a blog ambassador. They will review your application and then send you an email if you are selected. After that you simply apply to programs and if you're selected they send you an email letting you know along with your box of items. You are then required to pass out items to your mom friends and have a short zoom meeting with them about the product within a certain time frame. I really like that they do the reviews of products virtually because it makes it safer for our family! I was recently selected for a couple items to try and if you're local to me I'd love to share!!! I was recently selected to try out Bartlett pears and Wild Planet Skip Jack Tuna! It's a very simple sharing program. I would deliver the items to you and in return I just ask that you jump on a Zoom meet to share what your thoughts on the product were! Super simple, if your interested please let me know in the comments or by email! 
Next weekend we plan on having a spooky dinner party! Just us of course! We tried out my new Nordic Ware Skull pan I found on Amazon! It is the coolest thing and we are already planning what else we can use it for!

Spring pasta salad

This fresh tasting pasta salad has just a hint of lemon for fresh taste that's a perfect pair with most any main dish! We paired this along side this citrus salmon . It was a perfect meal to get ready for spring!  Ingredients: 1/2 pound (about 2 cups) dry pasta 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon mustard 1 teaspoon lemon zest 1/3 cup chopped green onions (whites and greens) 2 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill) Salt Freshly ground black pepper Instructions: Salt water and boil the ditalini pasta according to package directions. Remove from heat, drain and rinse. Mix in a large bowl: mayonnaise, mustard, lemon zest, green onions, parsley and dill. Reserve about 1/4 cup of sauce mixture. Mix in the cooked pasta while it is still warm. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Chill for at least 2 hours. As the macaroni sits the mayonnaise will be absorbed, before serving ad in the reserved sauce.

Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Protein Shake

What could be better than chocolate and peanut butter in the morning?!? This is usually my go to shake! It's ones of my favorites! It uses pantry staples that you most certainly have in your pantry already. I've been using Orgain protein powders for years now and they are my favorite. I don't think they have a funny aftertaste and they blend well! Plus they are free from alot of common allergens!  Normally I would use ice in place of the frozen banana, however I happen to have some leftover frozen bananas. Using frozen bananas with give it a much creamier texture than using just ice. of course if you don't have frozen banan just use ice and an unfrozen banana! It's just as good! I like to use bananas that have a good speckle of to them! The bananas are much sweeter when they get to this point. I would t use black bananas though (I save those for banana bread). Albers Cornbread

Homemade cornbread. Perfect as a side for my BBQ pork chili ! I actually used the recipe right off the back of the Albers corn meal box! It's a tried and true recipe that our family loves!  Ingredients : 1 cup white cornmeal  1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar  1 tablespoon baking powder  1 teaspoon salt  1 cup milk  1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 large egg Directions: Preheat oven to 400°. Grease 8 inch square baking pan.  Combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and a medium bowl. Combine milk, oil and egg and small bowl; mix well. Add milk mixture to flour mixture; stir just until blended. Pour into prepared pan.  Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm.
